White Shaggy Rug

This natural white rug was handwoven by Iris, an artisan from Chilean Patagonia. Iris spins yarn on a drop spindle before weaving on a simple, home made loom that she sets up in her kitchen. Once she has woven the plain back cloth, Iris painstakingly knots short lengths of yarn to make a luxurious tufted rug - great by the bedside!

Dimensions: 68 x110 cm / 27" x 43" - dimensions are approximate and may vary by a few millimetres.
Pure sheep's wool: hand wash and rinse in tepid water, do not wring, dry flat.

Please note: this rug has been woven using the natural fleece colour. Please expect there to be some variation in tone. You may also find small pieces of plant fibre tangled in the yarn threads - this is a rustic, home produced item.
